We’ve said it all over the website – choosing the team is just as (or more) important than choosing the software. You want to make sure you are comparing ‘apples to apples’ and the vendors are showing you what is important to you, rather than what they want to show you.
Level the Playing Field
We help you design a Request for Proposal (RFP) that provides guidance to the vendors and helps ensure a standardized demo. We want to make sure all vendors are demoing the core requirements.
Scoring
Many companies try to ‘score’ each vendor and/or demonstration. This is actually rather tricky without having some help because there is a bias towards what is already known and comfortable. It is the same reason there is a children’s menu at restaurants – they want to give you something familiar and digestible. We help you determine what kinds of things are more beneficial in the long-term (3-5 years), even if they are things you aren’t currently familiar with. Conversely, we also help you see through what looks new and shiny but lacks substance.
Next Steps
- Create a set of conditions that the vendors must attempt to demonstrate that focuses on your requirements rather than what the vendor wants to demo that will showcase them the most positively.
- Prepare methods to evaluate demostrations that are more than just scores and remove as much bias as possible
